Warehouse Clerk

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI, on Day Shift. Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. This role is part of Land 'N' Sea Distributing, a full-service wholesale-only distributor serving the Marine and RV industries. The warehouse supports fast, efficient delivery throughout the US and Canada and serves additional international markets in partnership with Mercury Marine's Latin America and Caribbean division.

• Operate a forklift or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist equipment and parts throughout the warehouse.
• Comply with all quality standards and policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning equipment, performing safety inspections, and ensuring organization.

• Accurately pick, pack, and ship various sized parts to support quick turnaround.
• Fill orders by removing correct parts from the shelf, identifying part numbers, and ensuring proper quantity.
• Determine shipment method and pack accordingly.
• Count, weigh, measure, or examine packaging and contents for conformance to company specifications.

• Receive and unpack merchandise and supplies, verifying accuracy of deliveries.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• Confirm proper location of merchandise and ensure production area organization and cleanliness.
• Stock shelves by placing material in appropriate locations.

Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; other skills can be developed along the way.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable attendance and teamwork ability.
• Prior forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, balancing, and use of arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp, and move materials. Walkways are concrete or metal grating. Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Exposure to high or precarious environments possible. Warehouse environment may be hot or cold and dusty.
