A Material Handler (pick/pack/ship) performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday‑Friday
Pay Rate: $17.03
Duties and Responsibilities- Executes foundational tasks within a warehouse environment including packaging, unpackaging, put‑away, sorting, staging, picking, shipping and preparing units for production.
- Cut open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack.
- Place open boxes on the appropriate shelf of the flow rack.
- Walk the length of the flow rack.
- Wrap cords neatly and securely, ensuring they are tangle‑free.
- Assist with labeling, tagging, or color‑coding wrapped cords as needed for easy identification.
- Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals.
- Complete required paperwork, forms, or digital records accurately and promptly for documentation purposes.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
- Reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic computer ability.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Previous experience in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
- Ability to handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
- Clerical skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Warehouse environment.
- Stand dynamically for long periods.
- Use hands and fingers to handle, pick, pinch, seize, hold, grasp or turn.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Reach up and out with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb stairs or ladders.
