Rotating days/nights with a weekday/weekend rotation.
We average about 25-33 births per month.
There are 6 birthing suites and 4 postpartum/surgical rooms for a total of 10 rooms.
The team includes 3 OB/GYNs and 4 Family Practice physicians who perform deliveries.
A Lactation Consultant is available 3 days a week.
Each nurse is assigned to 1 labor patient and up to 2 mothers and babies, with the possibility of 3 mothers and babies at times.
Most births are not high risk and are transferred when necessary.
Nurses do not circulate on C-Sections but assist with newborn care.
