Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, a part of Fairview Health Services, is currently seeking an enthusiastic LPN/MA to join our team!
Grand Itasca's LPN's/MA's work closely with providers to deliver quality patient care and service by maintaining patient flow, escorting patients through the clinic, identifying patient needs, collecting/verifying information, administering medications, updating electronic medical records, implementing methods as directed to improve care and the patient experience, maintaining exam/treatment rooms, ordering related supplies and display original thinking & creativity while working effectively as an important team member.
Job duties include:
- Conducting a focused assessment through the collection and comparison of data to normal findings and the patient's current health status.
- Participating with health care team in the development and modifications to the patient's health plan of care plan/orders.
- Implementing patient care interventions that are delegated, ordered or prescribed by a licensed health care provider.
- Assigning nursing activities or tasks to other licensed practical nurses (LPN).
- Assigning and monitoring nursing task or activities that are delegated to certified medical assistants or any unlicensed personnel on the health care team.
- Focusing on patient care through the provision of safe/effective care, patient advocacy, assistance with patient evaluation to interventions and collaboration and communication with health care team members.
- Providing health care information to patients and reviewing education materials.
- Providing input for policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN Minnesota state license, current Medical Assistant certification or registration required. Must maintain license/certification/registration.
- Experience in an ambulatory health care setting is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and maintain positive working relationships.
- BLS certification to be completed within two months of employment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
