Basic Responsibilities
- In cooperation with the Director of Facilities, monitor the daily operation of all district automation systems to maintain the comfort of building occupants and ensure efficient energy usage.
- Ensure proficient performance of the building automation systems and make modifications to operational parameters as appropriate.
- Investigate and resolve operational failures of electrical and mechanical equipment, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, electrical, and pneumatic controls.
- Install and repair control components for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Identify and debug software, electrical, pneumatic, and installation problems related to HVAC equipment.
- Select product sizes, types, and placement to ensure compliance with specification requirements.
- Prepare databases and job‑related programming for computer‑based systems.
- Respond to emergency repair calls and inquiries.

Service Employees Association. - Salary range: $31.69–$35.96 per hour, with a total compensation package up to $57.25 per hour including benefits.
- Paid time off: 39 total accrued paid days per year (sick, vacation, and holidays).
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; 12 months per year. - Benefits:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Class B driver’s license or the ability to acquire one within 45 days.
- Two‑year post‑secondary training in HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, and knowledge of plumbing code.
- Certified Pool Operator.
- Boiler license or the ability to acquire one within 90 days.
- Four years in building maintenance or mechanical trade.
- Two years of refrigeration and air conditioning experience.
- General construction, plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC experience.
