Compensation
The base salary for this role ranges between $63,040 - $86,680, with eligibility for an incentive target of $27,000.00, which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.
This pay range is a representation of potential total compensation at the time of posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or discontinue its compensation and benefits programs at any time, in accordance with applicable law.

Account Managers will produce positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market with an average of 40-45 current accounts and an average of $2M in annual revenue. Use Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, to perform all aspects of business daily. This position covers the Grande Prairie, AB area. You will report to the District Sales Manager.
You Will
Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs
Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business
Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to guide greater understanding of the customers, increase contacts within the customer group and increase sales results
Understand Grainger's value proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales
Develop account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for essential customers to maximize sales
You Have
High School Diploma/GED required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
2+ years direct outside sales experience (or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience) required
Sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning
Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently where needed
Process discipline, ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue
Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions
This role may require you to attend customers’ sites and adhere to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, as it relates to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) on certain customer sites. This may include: a hard hat; steel-toed safety boots; clean shaven or trimmed moustache/beard in order to wear a close-fitted N95 mask or other required PPE.

Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such customer screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
