About the Role
As a Territory Manager for the North West region of Alberta, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within your designated territory. You will execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, meet ambitious growth targets, and act as Halter’s on‑the‑ground representative. Frequent travel is required.
What Your Day Could Look Like
Prospecting new business by visiting cattle auctions, local livestock associations, and other events, and fielding inbound leads.
Conducting in‑field sales sessions on horseback, side‑by‑side, or at the ranch to demonstrate Halter’s value.
Expanding existing opportunities by identifying upsell and cross‑sell potential with current customers.
Managing pipeline and hitting sales targets while prioritizing strategic opportunities.
Managing customer accounts post‑sale, ensuring satisfaction, support, and smooth handoff to onboarding and deployment teams.
Owning your territory comprehensively, engaging stakeholders from local, state, and federal agencies.
Co‑ordinating customer onboarding and deployment to deliver a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
Collecting field learnings and feedback to inform product and service improvement.
Collaborating with support and other internal teams to resolve customer issues swiftly.
Attending industry events to generate leads and strengthen existing relationships.
Contributing to the Canadian sales strategy by sharing insights and best practices.
You’ll be great if you exhibit
Driven attitude and strong communication skills; results‑driven, motivated, and adaptable.
Ranching or cattle experience to understand customer challenges.
Sales and customer success expertise; a history of creating new business, negotiating value‑based sales, and building lasting relationships.
Territory management experience in a large area, ideally within agriculture or technology.
Problem‑solving and collaboration ability, working effectively cross‑functionally.
Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
Bonus things you could bring along to the role
Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
Background in customer‑facing roles within ag‑tech.
Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
