  • Assist with environmental site assessments, including Pre-Construction Site Assessments, Soil & Vegetation Assessments, Stream & Wetland Assessments, Avian & Wildlife Surveys, Schedule A & Schedule B assessments, Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, and Preliminary Site Investigations
  • Perform environmental monitoring and inspection
  • Conduct environmental suitability scouting for pipeline and access routing, and wellsite/facility siting
  • Assist senior team members with data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Help prepare field reports and scientific documentation
  • Support preparation and filing of environmental permit applications
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders as directed by senior staff
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities and observations
  • Maintain an understanding of British Columbia and Alberta environmental regulations
  • Apply understanding of the oil and gas market and regulatory framework
  • Support development of technical reports, including data interpretation and site assessments
  • Work under senior professionals’ guidance to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Travel to sites across Western Canada

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in environmental science, biology, agrology, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in environmental consulting or fieldwork; internships or volunteer experience welcome
  • Strong interest in field-based work and hands-on environmental assessments
  • Ability to work in remote and challenging field conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document and report on field observations
  • Basic understanding of environmental regulations in BC and Alberta is an asset, but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn from senior team members
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when required
  • Ability to analyze complex environmental challenges and provide practical solutions
  • Effective communication of technical information to clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Collaborative approach to working with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Strong commitment to health and safety protocols and a safe working environment
  • Willingness and ability to work in various outdoor environments, often in remote or rugged conditions
  • Ability to accurately record and report environmental data
  • Ability to assist in completing tasks on time while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of field equipment
  • Ability to perform frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive manual tasks
  • Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain while carrying gear
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to drive long distances and travel frequently to remote sites
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as required by project
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, for extended periods
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended hours
