Heavy Equipment Technician

Ledcor Highways is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for our Highway Maintenance team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Contribute to community safety by maintaining essential heavy construction equipment.

In this full-time position, you will perform maintenance and repairs on vital equipment like plows and loaders. This role demands a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or registered Apprentice, with experience in highway maintenance being beneficial. Work includes completing CVIP inspections and following safety protocols to ensure equipment reliability and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair heavy construction equipment and support gear

• Perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers as required

• Engage in service calls in the field

• Follow maintenance programs and procedures diligently

• Document maintenance records and activities

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or registered Apprentice

• Experience with highway maintenance equipment is an asset

• Possess a valid Driver’s License

• Must pass pre-employment drug testing

• Strong understanding of technical instructions and diagrams
