Role Description

This full-time, on-site House Painter role is based in Grande Prairie, AB. The House Painter will prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming, and will apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as appropriate. Day-to-day tasks include selecting and mixing paints, setting up and maintaining tools and equipment, following project plans and instructions, and ensuring work areas are clean and safe.

The role involves collaborating with supervisors and other trades on job sites, reading basic plans or directions as needed, and completing work according to safety standards and company quality expectations.

Qualifications
  • Strong painting skills, including experience with interior and exterior Painting and Paint selection and application.
  • Ability to perform Spray Painting and use related tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic Carpentry skills to repair or prepare surfaces such as trim, doors, and frames before painting.
  • Ability to read and understand simple Architectural Drawings or work instructions related to painting projects.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including use of ladders, scaffolding, and personal protective equipment.
  • Attention to detail, good time management, and ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a crew.
  • Previous experience in residential or commercial painting is preferred; relevant trade certifications or apprenticeship training are an asset.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work at heights for extended periods, and reliable transportation to job sites.
