As an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll develop your skills while assisting in the repair and maintenance of GFL's commercial trucks and heavy equipment. You will engage in diagnosing complex systems and performing preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe operational environment.
Your role includes keeping accurate records and adhering to safety protocols in a dynamic work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair CNG and diesel engines
• Conduct PM and safety inspections
• Maintain repair records and document parts used
• Operate tools safely according to procedures
• Ensure a clean and safe work area
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a pre-apprenticeship or technical program
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Own basic tools with a willingness to acquire more
