Building Principal

SUPERVISES:

1-65 students

JOB GOAL:

To provide exposure to and performance of high school level Broadway musical. Most importantly, students will achieve a higher level of self-esteem and self-worth through positive stage performance by singing, dancing, and acting alone and within both large and small group settings or through backstage work with lighting, sound, props, costuming, make-up and set design and construction.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and conduct audition rehearsals.
• Distribute and collect parent permission forms.
• Organize and oversee auditions.
• Recommend purchase/rental of music books, props, and lighting and sound equipment as appropriate.
• Generate rehearsal and performance schedules.
• Conduct all music rehearsals.
• Conduct and/or supervise all choreography rehearsals.
• Conduct all blocking and on stage rehearsals.
• Organize parent volunteers and parent meetings.
• Supervise set design and construction.
• Supervise costuming and make-up.
• Organize and supervise lighting and sound.
• All other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.

FLSA: Exempt

CLEARANCES: Non-Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

Position Type: Part-Time

Salary: $2,168 to $3,470 Per Year
