Flexible Assembler (Levels I-IV)
Location: Grandview, MO
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking Flexible Assemblers at multiple levels (I-IV) to support our production operations in Grandview, MO.

Flexible Assembler I - Grade Level 1
Entry-Level Production Support
- Perform routine production tasks such as assembly, drilling, tapping, silver soldering, spot welding, stamping, deburring, cleaning, painting, and glass beading.
- Assist with stripping wires, installing terminal blocks, clips, screws, and related components.
- Measure and inspect in-process parts using basic gages under instruction.
- Obtain materials from designated locations.
- Assist with packaging, carton preparation, and occasional shipment loading/unloading.
Flexible Assembler II - Grade Level 2
Skilled Assembly & Production Operations
- Perform bench assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical products using hand tools, soldering equipment, test equipment, and shop machinery (turning, milling, drilling, threading, shearing, spot welding, pressing).
- Assemble products to customer and company specifications in individual or production-run quantities.
- Read and interpret engineering prints.
- Perform measurement inspections using calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and plug gages.
- Conduct product calibrations using standardized instruments (flow meters, pressure gages, volt/ohm meters, calibration stands).
- Assist in sub-assemblies, inspection, warehouse, machining, cleaning, testing, and packing operations.
- Perform basic computer data entry and simple chart/graph analysis for productivity and quality tracking.
- Care for and maintain tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment.
Flexible Assembler III - Grade Level 3
Advanced Assembly, Calibration & Quality Assurance
- Perform complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations.
- Conduct advanced calibrations and ensure products meet established performance standards.
- Perform all final tests and inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Work independently from written or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Exercise judgment in resolving assembly or quality issues.
- Cross-train and assist co-workers across assembly, machining, inspection, and testing functions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through data tracking and performance analysis.
Flexible Assembler IV - Grade Level 4
Assembly Lead / Production Coordination
- Lead and coordinate assembly operations across production classifications.
- Assign assemblers to workstations to meet production schedules.
- Direct set-up activities including obtaining parts, jigs, tools, and fixtures.
- Instruct assemblers on proper methods and procedures.
- Monitor in-process work for quality compliance, correct errors and coordinate with Quality Control Engineering.
- Advise leadership of material shortages and provide production lead-time estimates.
- Plan labor utilization to meet scheduling requirements.
- Maintain assembly prints, parts lists, and inventory minimum/maximum levels.
- Record labor data and maintain production performance records.
- Prepare requisitions for materials and maintenance work orders.
- Maintain line performance, attendance, and time records.
- Ensure assembly area cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required (preferred for Levels III-IV).
- Some college or equivalent experience desired for Level IV.
Level I
- Ability to follow instructions and use basic measuring tools.
- Experience in assembly and/or machining operations.
- Ability to read engineering prints.
- Experience using hand tools and inspection equipment.
