Recovering from surgery or a serious illness after a hospital stay often requires more time and specialized care before you can return home. Additional help with pain management, close monitoring of complex chronic conditions may also be required. At Sunrise Nursing and Memory Care, we are proud to provide the care and therapy our guests need to regain their strength, improve their mobility and transition their way back to independent living.

If we decide to move forward you will be notified after the interview with a job offer letter and a schedule provided, we will have to do a background screening and within 1-2 business you will be in a full class orientation that lasts about 2-4 hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

Ability to read, write and speak the English language.

Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., to include transporting residents to/from such activities.

Answer residents’ call lights promptly.

Attend in-service educational programs, on the job training programs and meetings as directed.

Assist residents with proper hygiene

Bathe residents as assigned and in accordance with established facility procedures (encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities).

Follow infection control procedures in accordance with established facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.

Chart required information very shift.

Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.

Adheres to Company Standards for resolving consumer concerns.

Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
