CSS is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial and commercial HVAC systems in a large facility and laboratory environment.
This role is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys complex systems, hands‑on work, and problem‑solving.
Responsibilities- Maintain, service, and repair heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
- Troubleshoot and support large HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, valves, AHUs, VAVs, and BAS controls
- Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer schedules (daily through annual)
- Respond to service requests and emergency repairs in a timely manner
- Inspect HVAC systems and recommend repairs or system improvements
- Safely work with multiple voltages (24
VAC, 120
VAC, 277
VAC, 480
VAC, DC) - Document work, time, and materials using a CMMS system
- Follow OSHA, EPA, and facility safety standards
- Associate's degree or HVAC apprenticeship completion
- HVAC Journeyman License
- EPA Universal Certification
- Industrial or commercial HVAC experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including chiller plant systems
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Familiarity with ductwork, AHUs, VAVs, boilers, BAS, and static pressure
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
- Comfortable using MS Office and electronic work order systems
- Willingness to be on‑call and work evenings or weekends as needed
- Lift up to 100 lbs
- Frequent bending, climbing, and working at heights up to 35 feet
- Ability to work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and industrial environments
