Technician - Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning

HOODZ of Kansas City is the local franchise of North America's largest and most recognized commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company — with over 50 years in the industry and nearly 1,000 active accounts across Kansas City and surrounding areas. We clean the exhaust hoods, ductwork, and rooftop fans that keep restaurants safe and compliant.

• $17.50–$19/hr to start — based on experience and reliability

You and your crew will roll out each night after restaurants close and get to work inspecting and cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems from top to bottom — hood, filters, ductwork, and rooftop fans — using professional‑grade pressure washing equipment and cleaning techniques. No two nights are exactly the same. You’ll be moving, climbing, pressure washing, and leaving every location cleaner and safer than you found it.

• Pressure washing kitchen exhaust systems: hoods, ductwork, filters, and exhaust fans
• Setting up and breaking down job sites per HOODZ standards
• Operating specialized cleaning equipment
• Keeping your truck stocked, clean, and ready
• Driving a company work vehicle to client locations
• Documenting your work with before‑and‑after photos through our app

• $17.50–$20/hr starting pay — above average for the Kansas City market

• Are available to work nights, Sunday through Thursday
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Are comfortable with physical, hands‑on work — lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops
• Take pride in doing things the right way, not the fast way
• Can pass a background check and drug screen

No experience in hood cleaning required. Previous experience in construction, maintenance, pressure washing, mechanical work, or food service is a plus — but not a requirement. We’ll train the right person.
