Position: Migrant PreK Jumpstart Paraprofessional(s)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assisting in the supervision and instruction of students.
  • Under the supervision of a certified teacher, working with individual and/or small groups of students in a classroom.
  • Monitoring students in various settings such as classroom, playground, cafeteria, library, etc.
  • Providing support to the teacher.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $19.25 - $25.27 per hour (depending on experience).
Job Details
  • Working days: 5 days per week.
  • Hours per day: 6 hours.
  • Position type:
    Temporary for the 2025–2026 Summer School Pre-Kinder Jump Start Program (July 27, 2026 – August 7, 2026).
  • Up to 3 positions available.
  • Additional hours may be available for professional development prior to the program.
What You'll Need
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    Job-related experience desired.
  • Minimum qualifications:

    At least eighteen years of age; hold a high school diploma or equivalent; meet the minimum requirement for a paraprofessional (associate of arts degree or equivalent credits or passed state para educator assessment).
Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
