School Year, Part-Time (0.4 Preschool Teacher Position: M-TH AM Session)

Starting Date:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• (a) a ZA or ZS endorsement, (b) a ZN or ZO endorsement, or (c) a bachelor’s degree in child development with specialization in preschool teaching
• Experience working with preschool students ages 3-5
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development
• Submission of a negative Tuberculosis test
• Completion of fingerprinting in accordance with Michigan State Licensing requirements for background checks as well as MDE for school employment

• Passion for early childhood education and commitment to fostering a love of learning
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student progress
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood
• Participate in IEP meetings
• Ability to use and integrate technology seamlessly
• Familiarity with Michigan’s Early Childhood Standards of Quality
• Ability to take a team approach to planning
• Familiarity with Michigan’s state licensing rules for child care centers (LARA)
• First Aid, CPR, and AED training (or willingness to be trained)
