Supplier Quality Engineer | Grandville, MI
Salary Range: $80,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Grandville that are seeking Supplier Quality Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues using problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams on new product development and supplier selection.
- Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the supplier quality management system.
- Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions and other quality documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers on quality-related matters.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years experience in supplier quality or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Proficient in core quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D).
- Demonstrated experience conducting supplier audits and driving corrective actions.
- ASQ certifications (e.g., CSQE, CQE, CSSGB)
- Experience with advanced quality planning tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
- Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding, welding)
- Experience with supplier development programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel)
