Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Grandville, MI
Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in Grandville seeking experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Design and optimize production layouts and material flow to reduce lead times and improve productivity.
- Train and mentor manufacturing teams on Lean principles and tools.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience implementing Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, Flex Sim)
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
