Position: ABA Technician - Southwest Clinic (Per Diem)

Our services include a state‑of‑the‑art psychiatric urgent care center and a soon‑to‑be‑built pediatric behavioral health center, as well as outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization (day programs), assessment and testing, residential, addiction treatment and specialty services such as crisis response, employee assistance programs, forensic psychiatry and psychology, and neuromodulation.

On‑the‑job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains are equipping the next generation of care providers.

What Will You Do?

As an ABA Technician at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of a tight‑knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. This position will assess patient care needs, implement treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, continually reassess treatment plans according to patient care needs, and implement behavior change procedures under the guidance of the Certified ABA Specialist.

The ABA Technician must demonstrate excellent customer service, manage stressful situations, work well with others, have great organizational skills, and provide support and empathy as needed to children, adults, and families. The role requires responsibility, reliability, independent work, and exceptional problem‑solving skills. Our ABA Technicians are driven to make an impact and are motivated by the healing they witness every day.

Principal

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Establish a positive working relationship with patients, parents, and all other family members.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with assigned patients and their families.
  • Function as a member of the treatment team.
  • Understand the principles of behaviorally based programming and design.
  • Sustain a working knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through training and educational opportunities.
  • Utilize processes for measuring patient behaviors.
  • Apply ABA processes for behavior modification.
What Does This Role Require? Education/Experience
  • Registered Behavioral Technician Certification preferred.
  • Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCABA) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder through education or experience.
  • Understanding of current therapy principles in area of expertise.
  • On‑the‑job training or formal education in the application of ABA program principles.
  • Graduate education in Psychology, Social Work or related fields desired but not required.
