General Labourer / Workshop Operative

Location: Grangemouth

Pay: £13.75 per hour + holiday pay accrued, or £15.41 per hour including advanced holiday pay

Hours: Monday to Friday, Dayshift

Contract: Temp to Perm after 10 weeks

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic General Labourer / Workshop Operative to join our client in Grangemouth.

This is a varied, hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to learn new skills and progress within the business
. You will support the workshop, equipment preparation and maintenance, facility upkeep and general labouring duties.

• General workshop labouring and assisting with day-to-day operations
• Preparing, cleaning and pressure washing equipment
• Assisting with equipment servicing and routine checks
• Loading and unloading equipment safely
• Forklift checks and refuelling
• General housekeeping, painting and facility maintenance
• Assisting with excavator and equipment set-up
• Keeping vehicles and equipment clean and well maintained
• Van driving and occasional equipment deliveries/collections when required
• Carrying out other duties required by the business

The successful candidate will initially be employed on a temporary basis for 10 weeks, with the opportunity to move to a permanent position following a successful placement.
