Project Manager – Construction Materials Testing; CMT

We’re partnering with a well-established, highly respected engineering consulting firm to find a Senior Project Manager with deep experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and field engineering. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who thrives in project leadership, technical delivery, and building long-term client relationships.

• Lead and manage CMT projects from proposal through completion, including scope, schedule, budget, and contracts
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and responsiveness
• Prepare and oversee technical reports, proposals, and project documentation
• Manage project financial performance and revenue targets
• Identify client needs and help build a pipeline of future work
• Perform and oversee engineering design related to materials testing projects
• Coordinate and direct field and laboratory investigations for construction materials
• Oversee field inspection and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel, and geosynthetics
• Work closely with project managers, technicians, clients, and contractors to ensure quality and compliance
• Review, compile, and submit written and digital reports and daily field documentation
• Champion quality, safety, and high standards of service across all projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience managing CMT and/or geotechnical/materials testing projects
• Strong project management, client management, and communication skills
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word, and Excel
• Hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset with willingness to work in the field as needed
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
