Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Coordinator to support our Facilities and Environmental Services (EVS) departments. What You'll Do

As the Operations Coordinator
, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of both Facilities and Environmental Services by coordinating projects, managing documentation, and supporting department leaders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate departmental documentation, reports, and communications
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and supply replenishment
  • Maintain employee files, competency records, and regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and departmental service calls
  • Conduct facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Perform patient rounds to identify service opportunities and enhance the patient experience
  • Assist leadership with quality improvement initiatives and operational projects
  • Prepare employee counseling and performance documentation for leadership review
  • Track departmental metrics and maintain accurate operational records
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to improve workflow, communication, and efficiency
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of administrative, office coordination, or operations support experience required
  • Previous experience in healthcare, Facilities Management, or Environmental Services preferred
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
