iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a qualified professional to join our Preconstruction team. iSuite is a business support services organization formed in 2023. The organization provides business development and pursuit, estimating, safety, accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, and training services to clients within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (A/E/C) industry.

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Plumbing Trade Partnership Manager to join our Preconstruction team located at our office in Granite City, IL or Chesterfield, MO
. Our ideal candidate for a Plumbing Trade Partnership Manager is someone who has 10+ years of experience and will serve as a key point of contact for internal teams and plumbing trade partners.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit qualified plumbing subcontractors/partners using industry relationships, professional networks, referrals and market research.
  • Maintain an updated database reflecting plumbing subcontractor organizational structure, technical capabilities, geographic coverage, workforce availability, current backlog, and relevant project experience.
  • Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with plumbing subcontractors/partners.
  • Ensure plumbing subcontractors clearly understand the icon Mechanical Trade Partner Expectations Program.
  • Travel, as necessary, to perform on-site visits/in person meetings to evaluate subcontractor capabilities and build relationships.
  • Coordinate closely with the Preconstruction team to communicate project requirements, contract expectations, and scope responsibilities to prospective plumbing partners.
  • Participate in scope review meetings, partner selection discussions, and pursuit strategy development.
  • Implement workload tracking mechanisms to prevent subcontractor overloading and identify labor shortages.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues related to quality, schedules, manpower and communication.
  • Develop relationships with union representatives, apprenticeship programs, workforce development organizations, and industry associations to support labor forecasting.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding contractor capabilities, regional labor availability, fabrication resources, and competitive conditions.
Primary Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. A combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in plumbing contracting, mechanical contracting, construction management, preconstruction or subcontractor/vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial plumbing systems, installation methods, workforce requirements, and construction execution.
  • Experience interacting with contractors, engineers, owners, project executives, union representatives and operational leadership.
  • Familiarity with construction procurement and subcontractor management processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and database management reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, Building Connected, or related tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with external partners and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and documentation review.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and maintain strategic partnerships across multiple markets.
