Steel Slitter Operator

As a Utility Slitter Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating and maintaining slitting machines to ensure high-quality output. Responsibilities Operate slitting machines to cut materials to specified widths and lengths.

Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on slitting equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and output.

Document production data and report any issues to supervisors.

Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety procedures.

Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is a plus.

Previous experience as a slitter operator or in a similar manufacturing role preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
