Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 10-Hour Shifts | Gateway Regional Medical Center

Gateway Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Services team.

This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys perioperative care, values teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the pre-operative and post-operative phases, including:

• Performing patient assessments and supporting surgical preparation
• Monitoring patients before and after surgical procedures
• Interpreting patient data and responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Supporting safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care
• Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
• Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols
• Promoting patient safety and positive surgical outcomes

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• 10-hour shifts

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
• Current Illinois RN license
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS required
• PALS required within 3 months of hire
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Critical care experience preferred

• Competitive pay: $32.00–$48.00/hr
