Position SummaryThe Clinical Educator serves as a key leader in nursing education, professional development, onboarding, and clinical competency across the organization.
This role supports the growth and success of nursing staff through education, coaching, curriculum development, and performance improvement initiatives. The Clinical Educator partners closely with nursing leaders and frontline staff to strengthen clinical practice, support quality outcomes, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
In addition to educator responsibilities, this role serves as operational leadership support and may act on behalf of nursing leadership during manager absences and administrative coverage needs.
What You'll DoEducation & Staff Development- Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for nursing staff
- Develop and deliver engaging educational programs and clinical training
- Assess learning needs and support competency validation processes
- Participate in curriculum development and evidence-based education initiatives
- Support professional growth, mentorship, and staff engagement
- Serve as a clinical resource and coach across nursing departments
- Support nursing leadership with operational oversight when needed
- Assist with staffing coordination and department workflow management
- Serve as acting manager in the absence of the unit manager
- Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
- Act as Nurse Administrator On-Call as assigned
- Promote collaboration across interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications EducationRequired:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or degree in Education
Required:
- Current Illinois RN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Ability to maintain all required unit-specific certifications
Required:
- Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred:
- Previous Clinical Educator experience
- One to three years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills

Pay Range: $32.00–$48.00 per hour
Compensation is determined based on education, certifications, experience, leadership background, and relevant skills. Final offers are reviewed through our compensation process to ensure fairness and internal equity.
