Licensed Practical Nurse | Behavioral Health (PRN) Gateway Regional Medical Center - Granite City, IL Full Time | Days | $23.80-$35.70/hr Make a meaningful difference for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments - on your schedule.
Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team on nights. Working under the guidance of our RN team, you'll provide direct, compassionate patient care that supports stability, safety, and healing throughout the overnight shift - in a unit where empathy and steady presence make a real impact.
This is a great option for an LPN who's drawn to behavioral health and wants flexibility without stepping away from meaningful, hands‑on patient care.
What You'll Do- Deliver patient care using core vocational nursing skills and techniques
- Work under RN supervision to carry out patient care tasks and support the broader care plan
- Communicate and collaborate closely with RNs and the rest of the care team
- Help ensure patients receive safe, attentive, and compassionate care throughout the night shift
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current Illinois LPN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Willingness to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 1 month of hire
- Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physical stamina and emotional resilience for a behavioral health setting
