High-acuity ER nursing, with the flexibility of part-time.

Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team on nights. You'll assess, triage, and treat patients facing acute illness or trauma, working alongside physicians and a tight-knit ER team to stabilize patients fast and effectively - all on a schedule that offers more flexibility than full-time.

This is a great fit for a nurse who wants meaningful, hands‑on emergency care experience without a full‑time commitment, or who's looking to build ER skills alongside another role.

What You'll Do

• Assess, triage, and treat patients with acute illnesses or injuries
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to stabilize patients quickly
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor vital signs
• Educate patients and families throughout treatment
• Prioritize effectively and think on your feet in a fast-paced, high‑stress environment

What You Bring

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Illinois RN license
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Willingness to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 1 month of hire
• TNCC or ITLS certification preferred
• ECRN certification preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication skills, physical stamina, and emotional resilience
