We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician III to help ensure our hospital environment remains safe, fully operational, and well-maintained for patients, staff, and visitors.

Position SummaryThe Facility Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining the hospital's physical plant, equipment, and grounds in safe, efficient, and operational condition.
This role requires advanced knowledge in at least one core trade (HVAC, electrical, or plumbing) and strong working knowledge across general maintenance systems in a healthcare environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted hospital operations through preventative maintenance, repairs, system monitoring, and timely response to facility needs.
What You'll Do- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hospital systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing components
- Maintain boilers, pumps, cooling towers, compressors, and related systems
- Interpret and work from technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Complete assigned work orders using the maintenance management system (TMS)
- Document all maintenance activity, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Ensure completion of scheduled PMs and compliance with facility standards
- Support minor construction and renovation projects as needed
- Order and retrieve supplies for maintenance and repair work
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional hospital environment
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and on-call needs
Candidates must have strong working knowledge in at least one primary trade
:
- HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, compressors, condensers, evaporators
- Steam systems, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems
- Ladder diagrams and system diagnostics
- AC/DC theory and electrical troubleshooting
- Power distribution systems, transformers, breakers, MCCs
- Lighting and building electrical systems
- Reading electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
- Pipe fitting, soldering, brazing, welding, and system installation
- Maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures
- Understanding of facility water and drainage systems

Schedule: Days | 8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week
Includes: Every other weekend + on-call rotation
- Associate degree or technical training in a related trade OR
- Trade certification/license with equivalent experience
- Military technical training accepted
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum 6 years of trade-related experience OR journeyman-level equivalent knowledge
- Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance systems
- Experience in a hospital or regulated environment preferred
- Competitive pay: $20.41–$30.61/hour
