Our client, a highly reputable commercial vehicle distributor with over 50 years of experience and multiple industry awards, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their busy Grantham branch. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking to advance their career within a well-established multi-dealer group. As an HGV Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of a diverse fleet, ensuring all repairs and maintenance meet industry standards.
Benefits- Competitive basic salary up to £40,500, depending on experience

- Working hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternating shifts (Week 1: 6am-2pm; Week 2: 2pm-10pm) - Additional overtime opportunities and call out/standby shifts

- Repair and service HGV vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Perform diagnostic checks to identify faults
- Inspect vehicles for wear, tear, and general faults
- Complete maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
- Conduct vehicle fault diagnosis and repairs
- Carry out vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Provide excellent customer service and communication
- Ensure all work is completed within specified deadlines
- Support the team with additional vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV Mechanics (City & Guilds qualification preferred)
- Proven experience working on HGVs
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own set of tools suitable for HGV maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
- Good customer service skills
