Salary: $48,184 - $94,041

This position provides instructional services for elementary students in a classroom setting. The teacher promotes successful learning, follows district policies, maintains student discipline, and collaborates with staff, parents, and students to support academic achievement.

• A valid Oregon teaching license with the Elementary endorsement.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Effective communication with students, parents and school personnel from diverse cultures.
• Proficient oral and written communication in at least one language; two languages preferred.
• Proficient computer and internet application skills (email, Google Suite).
• Ability to learn new systems as they are introduced by the district.
• Maintain integrity of confidential information.
• Bilingual and biliterate candidates encouraged.

• Model a respectful learning environment.
• Pass required online trainings, CPR/First Aid annually.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications.
• Follow district policies and state/federal laws applicable to public school teachers.
• Build relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to effective learning and high achievement.
• Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs and interests; select curriculum and instructional materials.
• Design and implement instruction aligned with the district curriculum and state standards.
• Organize instruction using clear learning objectives and student outcomes.
• Select teaching strategies that emphasize student involvement and engagement.
• Develop clear classroom behavioral expectations.
• Prepare report cards and progress reports; conduct conferences with students, parents, guardians, and staff; maintain open communication.
• Collaborate with staff on instructional goals and curriculum (e.g., PLC, Site Council).
• Take precautions to ensure health, safety, and protection of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Participate in district professional development.
• Attend work regularly, be punctual, and cover for staff as needed.

May supervise educational assistants and/or teacher aides.
