Compensation: $17.96 - $22.75 - New hires will be placed at Step 1 through 9 dependent on prior contracted educational experience. Qualifications:

• Ability to work with ERC team of assistants
• Ability to work well with special needs students
• Understanding of age-appropriate behavioral issues
• Knowledge and experience with basic computer operations desired
• Ability to work one-on-one or in small groups
• Ability to discipline with dignity
• Ability to take initiative and be self-directed
• Ability to stand, walk or sit on floor while working with students in the classroom or while supervising
• Ability to physically lift, move or restrain a student on a regular basis
• Must qualify or be able to meet standard for highly qualified para-professional

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Two (2) years of college coursework or Associate's Degree (may be waived pending successful performance on skills test administered by the District)
• Person filling this position will have to be fingerprinted
