About the Position

Join the City in this part-time (up to 29 hours per week) role as the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) Coordinator. This position will administer the City's CDBG program, update policies and program procedures, submit documents that meet mandated HUD requirements, coordinate processes, coordinate public participation processes, evaluate proposals, monitor expenditures, prepare reports and ensure compliance with all guidelines regarding this program.

Minimum Qualifications

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration, compliance, oversight, and reporting of the CDBG program in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, federal laws, and local objectives. This role ensures all funded activities align with CDBG guidelines, supports competitive funding, and maintains fiscal and program integrity. Incumbent will be making presentations to various review boards and City Council and performing independent decision making.

Training

and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field is required; or an equivalent combination of educationandexperiencesufficienttosuccessfullyperformtheessentialdutiesofthejobsuchas those listed above. Experience with CDBG, Home Investments Partnerships Program (HOME), or other HUD programs is highly desirable.

Licensing Requirements
  • Valid driver's license, Oregon Class C with an acceptable driving record
