Position: Therapist – Children (IIBHT- Children)

Annual equivalent of $82,492 to $102,876 (prorated by FTE).
If licensed in Oregon (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) this position would include a $3.00/hr license differential that is equivalent to an additional $6,240 per year (prorated by FTE).

Schedule: Schedule varies dependent on client need, but typically 5x8 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts. Hours include afternoon/early evening shifts during the weekdays and occasionally the weekend. Successful applicant(s) will have the ability to work with hiring manager to develop a schedule that will accommodate their needs and program needs.

This position serves both our Grants Pass and Medford locations.

Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required and compensated.

Overview

This position is a team-oriented program with small caseload. The therapist provides outpatient services to youth and their families in a setting that is most convenient to the youth and family (often in the home, school, or in the community). This position is in the Intensive In-home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT) program which serves both Josephine and Jackson Counties. Some travel is required between counties and to client’s homes/residences with a primary base out of Medford.

Utilizes Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) in delivery of client services. Options provides on the job training and supervision for FIT.

Responsibilities

The IIBHT therapist will be responsible for providing services to children and adolescents, and their families, including assessment and treatment planning, as well as individual, family, and group therapy, some case management and care coordination. There will be some on call work on a rotation with compensation. This position also provides clinical direction to skills trainers and works cooperatively with school and community partners.

The therapist will utilize appropriate evidence-based practices; and will submit timely documentation of services provided using Electronic Health Records and collaborative documentation. The candidate must also manage their time and caseload effectively.

Travels between sites and is required to drive, and depending on needs of the program, may transport clients.

Qualifications

This position requires a Master's degree in a behavioral science, an understanding of co-occurring disorders, and related experience.

Experience with substance abuse treatment for dually diagnosed clients preferred.

Must be a QMHP on the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) registry.

OR

Must be registered as a licensure intern with the State of Oregon or be licensed in Oregon as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC or clinical Psychologist.

In order to avoid potential conflict of interest, applicants for this position cannot have received services from Options for Southern Oregon within the last 12 months.

Candidates must be able to use e-mail, compose documents, save and locate documents electronically, and learn to use our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Proficiency in Word and other MS Office applications preferred.

Must pass state-required background and DMV checks; possess a valid OR driver's license and a satisfactory driving record to be approved for driving rights. Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.
