The City of Grants Pass, Oregon is seeking a Human Resources Director for this growing community tucked along the banks of the mighty Rogue River 30 miles west of Medford. Located along the I‑5 corridor, Grants Pass serves as the county seat and major commercial center of Josephine County. Grants Pass is one of several communities in Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley, a popular destination for outdoor recreation, wine tourism, and scenic beauty.

Salary Range: $107,204 - $143,949 annually DOQ

Responsibilities

Reporting to the City Manager, the Human Resources Director is responsible and accountable for directing the Human Resources Department including its personnel, budget, and resources. The department provides comprehensive personnel services for the organization and guidance on employee performance matters, administers collective bargaining agreements, and ensures compliance with State and Federal employment and labor laws. The department includes four full‑time employees: the Human Resources Director, Personnel Assistant, Personnel Technician, and Personnel Analyst.
