Maintenance Technician

Middle School Extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds, plumbing and electrical systems, and other building fixtures and equipment. Skill in the use of electrical and hand appliances ordinarily used in housekeeping activities.

Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to structures and equipment

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to keep records and make reports required by administration

Physical strength to withstand the strain of performing eight hours of manual tasks

High moral standards and character necessary for association with children

Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, students and general public

Good communication skills and habits, willingness to maintain open lines of communication

Preferably six months of experience in work relating to the care of school buildings and grounds

Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions.

Basic computer skills required.
