Retention Director
Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retention and Book Optimization Director to join a growing team. This role is pivotal in analyzing, managing, and optimizing an agency's book of business to enhance client retention, maximize client value, and drive long-term growth.
Compensation Package
  • Salary: $125,000+ annually

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the agency's book of business to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to retention and growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve retention rates and client lifecycle value.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership, sales, and service teams.
  • Identify segments of the book requiring proactive management, remarketing, or intervention.
  • Support cross-sell and account expansion strategies through data-driven insights.
  • Maintain accurate, clean, and actionable data within Applied EPIC and reporting systems.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms for retention and performance.
  • Partner with internal teams to align retention strategies with sales and service execution.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Agency retention rate improvement.
  • Retention performance by line, producer, and carrier.
  • Reduction in lost business and improved renewal outcomes.
  • Identification and execution of retention opportunities.
  • Generation of cross-sell and account expansion insights.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting in dashboards.
  • Data integrity within Applied EPIC and reporting systems.
  • Implementation and success of retention strategies.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) licenses required.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in insurance or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in Applied EPIC software is required.
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    Strong analytical abilities, proactive problem-solving, excellent communication, self-starter attitude, and a collaborative mindset.
