Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Asante is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Grants Pass, Oregon. The Nurse Practitioner operates as an established medical authority in a collaborative care team environment with physicians, while the Physician Assistant works under the supervision of the APP Executive Medical Director and a designated Family Medicine Physician.

• Prepare and record patient histories.
• Perform physical examinations.
• Formulate treatment plans for patients.
• Manage patient care by facilitating, expediting, and coordinating routine diagnostic procedures.
• Write orders for appropriate medical care and determine needs for consultation.
• Triage patient calls and return patient calls in conjunction with physicians.

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• Licensure:
  Obtain a Nurse Practitioner (NP) license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) or a Physician Assistant (PA‑C) certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and license by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME). Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Provider must meet all qualifications to participate in the hospital’s professional malpractice and liability coverage programs.
