Pacific Veterinary Clinic
is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant
to join our team and provide dedicated support alongside our clinical team, with a strong focus on surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

• Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures
• Monitoring patients throughout anesthesia and recovery
• Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
• Maintaining accurate surgical and treatment records
• Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
• Supporting efficient workflow by anticipating the needs of patients and the veterinary team

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $ 18 - $23
  per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a flexible position with the option of full-time or part-time
  , and requires availability for two Saturday shifts per month
  .

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant or related role
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
  • Experience with venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
  • Familiarity with surgical preparation, instrument handling, and maintaining a clean surgical environment
  • Experience assisting with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
  • Experience with dental procedures and dental radiography
