Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Library Services Manager oversees the daily operations, services, staff, and resources of the campus library to support student success and institutional goals. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating library services, policies, budgets, and procedures; managing circulation, reference, technical, and access services; and ensuring effective use of library resources by students, faculty, staff, and community patrons. The Manager collaborates with faculty on collection development, instructional support, and information literacy initiatives;
supervises and evaluates library staff and student employees; and coordinates workshops, library orientations, and training programs. The position administers library systems and applications, monitors service quality and operational effectiveness, and works closely with the Business Manager on budget planning, purchasing, subscriptions, and fiscal oversight. The Library Services Manager participates in institutional planning, professional development, and library consortia activities; ensures compliance with institutional policies and procedures;
and performs other related duties in support of the library and the institution.
Required
Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in Library Science or related field.
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
