Responsibilities
The Teaching Staff at our organization plays a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. They are responsible for planning and implementing curriculum that stimulates children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Building positive relationships with both children and families is a key aspect of their daily responsibilities. Continuous observation and assessment of children's progress are essential to tailor teaching methods effectively.
Teaching Staff are also tasked with creating engaging and safe classroom environments, all while promoting school readiness goals and supporting children with diverse abilities. Regular communication with families, maintenance of classroom records, and participation in professional development activities are integral parts of their role. Moreover, they ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and relevant licensing regulations.
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (or as required by Head Start) for Teacher position
- CDA Credential or willingness to obtain one within required timeframe for Teacher Assistant position
