Full time occupational therapist needed to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support functional recovery in Grants, NM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities through observation and assessments

  • Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans to improve functional skills and independence

  • Provide therapeutic interventions focused on ADLs, mobility, and adaptive techniques

  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train patients in proper use

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on daily living strategies

  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and progress reports in EMR

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members for coordinated care

  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards

  • Participate in professional development through continuing education and training

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and operations

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program

  • Completion of Level I and Level II supervised fieldwork

  • Successful completion of NBCOT exam for OTR credential

  • Active or eligible for New Mexico Occupational Therapy license

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

  • Two years of acute care experience preferred, especially ICU, trauma, or neurology

  • Experience assisting patients with ADLs and mobility training

  • Familiarity with hospital equipment including lifts, splints, and adaptive devices

  • Experience with electronic medical record documentation systems

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

You hold an OTR license and NBCOT certification. You have acute care OT experience in ICU or neurology. You excel at patient assessments, treatment planning, and teamwork
