Surgical Tech, Medical Assistant
This temp-to-perm position places an experienced Operating Room Technician in a 13-week assignment in Grants, New Mexico, with the possibility of permanent employment. The role supports surgical teams by preparing rooms, instruments, and supplies, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring smooth turnover. Compensation is up to $1,800 per week based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
Assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
Perform surgical counts and maintain accurate operating room protocols.
Assist with room turnover and ensure the OR remains clean and properly stocked.
Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
Current CPR certification required
Completion of an Operating Room Technician course desired
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification desirable but not required
Must be able to assume on-call duty with a 15-minute response timeframe from the hospital
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage demands and stress of operating room environment
Skills:
Previous OR Tech, Surgical Tech, or operating room experience preferred
13-week contract with potential for permanent employment
Weekly compensation up to $1,800 based on experience
Dedicated support from the team throughout your assignment

You have current CPR certification and OR tech training. You can respond to on-call duties within fifteen minutes. You thrive in fast-paced surgical environments with strong teamwork
