Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing invites you to join as a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery in Grants, New Mexico. This 13‑week assignment starts July 13, 2026, with 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts) on a travel basis.

• Minimum one year recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
• STABLE and ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC)
• Other relevant certifications and licenses

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence‑based protocols
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal Skills – Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism
• Technical/Motor Skills – Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
• Mental Requirements – Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work occasionally under close supervision or independently; endure irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail
• Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
