The Industrial Engineer supports the Industrial Engineering team in planning, designing, implementing, and optimizing integrated production and service systems. This role ensures performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency across the production site.
The primary focus is to analyze workflows and operational processes to identify the most efficient sequence of operations and maximize utilization of equipment and personnel.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and continuously improve quality and efficiency performance within assigned areas
Design, develop, and procure production tooling, equipment, and workstations
Coordinate facility layouts and workstation moves to support production needs
Develop time studies and cost estimates for proposed projects
Optimize changeover processes by standardizing setups where possible
Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule
Reduce machine-generated scrap by analyzing production data and implementing corrective actions
Minimize manual assembly scrap through quality monitoring and process improvements
Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data (including production costs, process flows, and schedules) to drive efficiency improvements
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and security policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or similar field
2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of industrial engineering tools and methodologies, including:
Work measurement
Process mapping
Facility and workstation design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Understanding of organizational strategy and how site operations support broader business objectives
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production systems
