Utah Superbike is the premier organization for Road Racing, Supermoto, and Mini Moto in the Intermountain West. As a non-profit based in the state of Utah, we allocate 100% of our revenue to promote rider education, safety, and racing activities. With a legacy spanning over 35 years, Utah Superbike has contributed significantly to the development of influential racers, instructors, and motorcycling advocates.

The organization is dedicated to fostering the next generation of motorcycling talent and enthusiasts while supporting the growth and safety of the sport.

Role Description

Utah Superbike is seeking a volunteer Sports Announcer for its events hosted at Burt Brothers Motorpark.

This is a part-time, on-site volunteer role. The Sports Announcer will be responsible for providing live play-by-play commentary during races, engaging the audience with compelling storytelling, and delivering real-time updates about the races. The role also involves collaborating with event organizers and ensuring clarity and enthusiasm in all announcements to enhance the viewing experience for attendees. This could be a great fit for a college student interested in sports journalism or any motorsports enthusiast wanting to hone their public speaking or broadcast skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong Interest in Commentating Sports Play-by-Play.
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Knowledge of sports, particularly motorcycle racing, and an understanding of its audience
  • Strong public speaking confidence and ability to engage with live audiences
  • Passion for motorsports and familiarity with racing terminology
  • Flexibility to perform weekend and on-site duties during events (Race dates: May 23 – 24, June 13 – 14, August 8 – 9, August 29 – 30, September 19 – 20).
