Overview

Program Manager will facilitate and lead strategic initiatives for a defined customer (internal or external) or user. Provide management and guidance to multi-functional project teams. Manage and enhance customer relationships. Provide full accountability for project budgets, schedules, project management, and performance requirements for enterprise level projects.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all project requirements and objectives are correctly gathered, understood and translated for execution.
  • Build teams to address project goals for multiple and/or enterprise level projects.
  • Collaborate with the customer (internal or external) from requirements gathering through product acceptance.
  • Align the program team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives from input across functional areas and stakeholders.
  • Review project schedules with functional project managers and project coordinators.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to project teams to achieve project goals and corporate initiatives.
  • Communicate project objectives in terms of overall strategic business objectives.
  • Serve as interface with customers, vendors, stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Devise creative solutions to critical customer and user needs.
  • Develop project plans with focus on achieving goals and corporate initiatives, including KPIs/metrics.
  • Monitor KPIs and manage work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints.
  • Obtain and summarize current project information and milestone status versus baseline.
  • Drive tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate the team to develop an integrated project plan and risk analysis with mitigation actions.
  • Manage resource capacity and time tracking for enterprise level projects.
  • Financial management and cost analysis for enterprise projects and programs, including CERs, travel, training and other costs.
  • Forecast project budget and HR needs for current and future sites.
  • Ensure overall project success including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.
  • Balance cost, schedule and time frames against requirements.
  • Report project status, issues, and implemented solutions; provide evaluations and assessments of results.
  • Provide leaders with updates and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify potential problem areas and implement alternative solutions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Provide regular project performance status, variances to plan, and corrective actions when required.
  • Share best practices within the department and across facilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting and metrics management.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and problem-solving to exceed expectations.
  • Coach others through difficult decision-making situations.
  • Design and facilitate training related to enterprise initiatives.
  • Engage with customers to obtain understanding and evaluate outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly through various mediums; tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with communications, stakeholders, and management to measure program effectiveness and business impact.
  • Comply with company security policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge Requirements
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Jabil operating policies and procedures
  • Expert knowledge of Jabil’s culture and guiding principles
  • Adept at navigating a diverse landscape across country cultures, company divisions, and internal hierarchies
  • Experience collaborating with employees across Jabil facilities to achieve results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of project management or related experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
