Position Summary
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Whatyou’ll do
As a Diesel Truck/Trailer Mechanic at Walmart Supply Chain, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. Your responsibilities include completing work orders with proper coding, such as reason for repair, detailed description of condition, cause, and correction, and properly completing the warranty process. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly, including failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of components.
- Inform management of housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
- Identify and report broken tools and missing supplies required for repairs, and take steps to resolve issues when possible.
- Complete complex work orders with proper coding (e.g., Reason for Repair (RFR), American Trucking Association (ATA)), including warranty return tags as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards.

Hourly wage range: $28.20 – $31.70. The actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Brake inspection qualified per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle inspection qualified per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- ASE certification
- DOT transportation certification
